Help

There are many ideas for things to do instead
of smoking (activities). What I am in need of are
suggestions for what to do during idle periods
that I would usually be smoking. These are
things that wouldn't take thought. Any ideas
would be appreciated. Right now the alter-
native is to eat, and i'm becoming a blimp!!!

I have used playing with a pencil, playing with
a marble, and playing with beads - but none of
these are working very well. My major problem
is sitting still, doing nothing while watching TV -
a movie, or waiting after a meal in a restaurant.

Any help will be appreciated.

Thank You mediamom@pacbell.com

Knitting and embroidery are good alternatives to smoking when you are at home. Bring a book when you are waiting in a restaurant. Try to live an active life where one interesting thing follows another.

For more ideas see our list of things to do.
