Sex education in schools can prevent unwanted children and sexually transmitted diseases and help young people act more responsibly.

Some religious people disapprove of sex education, since, in their opinion, such education might promote behavior which they think is morally wrong. But ignorance is a dangerous way of controlling behavior. Factual knowledge is better.
