My boyfriend cheated on me

I posted this same message yesterday, but don't see it anymore, so I am giving it another go.

About 2 weeks ago I found out that my boyfriend with whom I have been living together for over a year cheated on me. He not only slept with on other woman but he also told me a lot of lies. He had been registered on several dating sites as a single man looking for a realtionship. While,he denied everything in the beginning he finally admitted to me and I realized that he is a man with a troubled mind. I asked him to seek help and told him I would be by his side to help him with this. He realises that he needs help, but I still have trouble trusting him. Since he has been deceiving a lot of people including all his ex girlfriends, his ex wife and also his parents. My question is, can someone like this be helped by going to counseling? Can I ever trust him again? I am very afraid to get hurt again.

I am sorry, but I think it is impossible. It is much easier to find a new honest man than to transform a dishonest man into a man that you can trust.
