eating disorders

hi, im doing this research project on eating disorders. I wondered if there was any other factores that lead to eating disorders besides the media. Like, what triggers is what makes them addicted, what makes them become so strict in their diets, and what other factors can be used to explain the cause of the eating disorders, what gets them started, etc.If you can answer me those questions and other good information with good support and information to back it up ill greatly appreciate it. thank you/
