I need some information, some direction on what to do concerning how to keep a job or a place that offers jobs to people dealing with this mental disability. I have been diagnosed with ADHD. I have tried to keep several jobs and I am now 27, and still I have not been able to hold a job. Because of this problem every job I have had (which is always very short) doesn't last and it shows when I am trying to apply for a job. So who do I need to talk with to get help with getting and keeping a job? Please help me if you can thanks!

The answer to your question depends where you are living. I am a German psychiatrist. Supposing you live in the US the situation is quite different to Europe...

First of all you need a good therapy for adhd including psychopharmacotherapy with psychostimulants (or atomoxetine). This is the key to a good therapy for most adults.

Second look for a skilled coach for adhd problems. Some great authors have written interesting self-help books on this issue (http://www.addvance.com/help/adults/workplace.html). I think you need a living person to set appropriate goals and make plans to succeed step by step.

It is not an easy task to adapt working problems to the needs and ressources of adhd adults. But it is worth to try.
