Well, I'm 16 years old and my mother works long hours to take care of my little sister and I. The only problem is: when my mother isn't around my 11 year old sister completly ignores anything I tell her. She leaves the house with out neighbors whenever she feels like it, she never goes to sleep at bedtime insisting she doesn't have one (it's 10:00), and often times shouts "Your not my mother" at me. I cannot control her and I worry. She's getting kind of wild for her age. She wears midrif showing shirts and tight minny skirst, wears make-up, and just manipulates my mother whenever she's aroung. She also keeps all her problems inside even with our mother. I just don't know what to do anymore. I tried being her friend, or her buddy, but she walks all over me. I've tried the strict route and she ignores me. I've also tried talking to my mom about rules we can all agree on, but she forgets or is too tired when she gets home. This is my last resort. What should I do. She wont even eat dinner on time and stuffs herself with junk food. Also, she brings the two neighbor girls over and I have to watch them too. It's 3 against 1. HELP ME PLEASE!

Your sister doesn't accept you as an authority. If you attempt to discipline her, you will not succeed. But you can be her friend and try to find solutions to your problems that are acceptable to both of you. You need to negotiate with her until you have found such good solutions.
