Breathing techniques can be a way of supressing the feelings which are the cause of the panic attack. This can temporarily suppress the anxiety, but the problems behind it are not solved, and it will only come back over and over again. Rather than suppressing the anxiety, the best way to treat it is to dive deep into it. You should thus lie down in a secluted place and allow the panic attack come and then disappear by itself when you have met all the anxiety that you can take at that moment.
