question
I know I need to lose weight-I'm 5 ft. 5 and weigh 250 lbs. and 36 yrs. old. Fortunately I have no health problems due to obesity.I know I must change my eating habits to lose weight, including reducing my portion sizes.Obesity does not run in my family;I'm sure I got this way by bad eating habits and being inactive. However, I am familiar with the food groups and what is healthy.Could you tell me what my daily calorie limit should be for healthy weight loss?I need to know so I can get started.Thank you.

I have written a lot about overweight in Web4Health. Read it and see if you can find anything of value to you. Instead of counting calories, you should satisfy your hunger with fish and vegetables insted of white sugar, flour and fat (More information). Eat when you are hungry and stop when satified. Your daily calorie limit could be 1800 calories/day.

More information about dieting.
Information about obesity.
