i dont cut all the time, but i do find myself prone to cutting when im very stressed. i also have a bad habit of taking everything so seriously and i get very angry very quickly. My boyfriend thinks i may have depression but is not for sure. i dont want to talk to my parents about anything because i am afraid they'll yell at me and tell me how stupid it is and that i should be grateful for everything that i have. what should i do?

The alternative to cutting is to lie down and feel your stress. After a while you will get calm. Cognitive psychotherapy could help you to solve your anger problems. People who get angry too quickly, often think in a wrong way just before the outburst. You don't seem to have a very good relation to your parents. Ask them to be more supportive to you. If they can't, find some relative or other grown up people that like to be suppotive to young people.
