question
I have been diagnosed with serious depression....we couldn't get it under control until I was up to 400mgs of the Wellbutrin SR, and 4mgs of alprazolam....my problem is several times through out the day I feel shortness of breath...I just can't seem to get enough air in my lungs...I have told my doctor, but he seems to think it's no big deal, but it's bothersome to me...this happens to me whether I am under stress or not.
I have alot nasty things happening in my life so I don't feel I can go off the drugs...when I think about lowering the alprazolam dosage, I just can't do it...I have tried, but it failed...I feel as though I need it.
Is the shortness of breath a side effect from one of the drugs, or could it be just stress related?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated...this has been going on for several months now.
Thank you

A doctor can say if the difficulties in breathing are due to the medication or because of something else. A common factor in these cases is anxiety.
