how to help without enableling a lifelong friend who is an admitted alcoholic and now wants help. of course,his way. what do you do when he can't remember from one day to the next what he has said he will do for himself. i have own health issues and feel like i'm in way over my head!!!!! he goes on defense againist his own ideas. Think condition may be the syndrome stage, drooping eyelids and seemingly constant confusion. so tired.
