It's nice to see a site that offers tips to parents on how to prevent their children having problems with eating disorders which acknowledges withholding food as punishment and forcing a child to eat contribute to eating disorders. I experienced both punishments. The most traumatic was having to sit for hrs because I wouldn't eat my meat only to find out later in life I have a disorder where if I eat animal products I develop tumors. Its no surprise I've battled eating disorders all my life. Are there any studies showing a correlation between this type of parenting and the development of eating disorders?
