my boyfriend is 25yrs old and is at home for the past 5yrs after is graduation(in India. the problem is that he is not able to concentrate on studies or any other kind of activity which requires concentration. when he feels good for sometime he tries to study and after few days this stops as his mind gets blocked, he can not comprehend sentences, he can not even read newspaper. he has been on antidepressants for 4months but the situation didnot change. he says there is something wrong in his brain as previously he was a very good student and a university topper. MRI scanning has also been done but nothing was wrong. there is Intense stiffness in head. There is always a palpable resistance to concentration by this stiffness. Only comfortable situation is the state of ‘random and incoherent thought, without need to do any work.’
Complete inability to do any activity. On attempt to do even a simple chore the stiffness increases and escalates to headache. Mind becomes blank and there is an urgent sense to escape. Outwardly he looks totally confused and dumb. Nightmares throughout the sleeping period. No deep sleep, and can feel that he is dreaming.Cannot lead a normal life. Unable to talk to people, except very close ones. Unable to do even simplest of activities.
please help us.
