My mother took .5 of xanex over a period of 11 yrs. She has recently stopped use "cold turkey". She has all the typical withdrawal symptoms. How long do these sypmtoms typically last?

They may last several months, some people claim having withdrawal symptoms also years afterwards. But the symptoms gett less prominen with time, and most people quitting say afterwards "It was worth it, my life is better now without Xanax".
