Ex-wife wants to come home

Hi,
I could sure use your help.My ex-wife walked out on my daughter and I three years ago.She claims she had a breakdown,and thats why she left.I have taken care of our daughter ever since.I have a current girlfriend of 1 1/2 years now.She loves us dearly,and wants to get married.My ex- wife now would like to come back home.She says she misses the family she once had,and misses seeing her daughter more.She does see her every other weekend,and every other week in the summer.My ex doesn't know that my girlfriend wants us to be married,so I don't think it's because she knows that she wants to be married,that she wants to come home. I just want to do whats right for my daughter.I don't know if I could have a relationship with my ex-wife again.I do treat her as a friend.My daughter does get along with both women.Help!!! What should I do??? I'd appreciate any thoughts you might have.

Give your ex-wife a chance. You might find out that it was not a good idea to live together. Then you know for sure what to do.

Letter from a reader: I am a firm believer in trying. My wife walked out after 8 yrs. 2 yrs later returned and wanted to come home. I had met a women I cared very much for, but decided that in the best interest of my daughter it was best to be with her mother again. We spent another 8 yrs together when she decided she was not happy.Wanted half of all assetts again including half of bussiness (Get a prenuptual) sole custody,spousal support etc. Judge at this point has said no to child support,no to spousal support ( she make as much as I do and our child spends 50% time with me, I do give her a couple of hundred a month plus dental medical,activities that are extra)so in making your desicion be very carful. Make sure she is not just using you to improve her personal lifestyle.
