question
how can you tell if a 2 year old has been molested? She doesn't talk well enough to tell me anything. She lives with her mother and other grandmother and that grandmother's boyfriend. My son and I only get to see her every other weekend so she is primarily with these people. When I take her home she has a look of fear in her eyes and screams, not wanting to be there. I picked her up after work yesterday and a while after we had been to my house, her diaper was wet so I needed to change her and she didn't want me to change her diaper. When I laid her down and got the diaper off she put her hand over her privates and said "ow". She doesn't talk well enough to tell me anything. The last time I had her I could get her to sit on her little potty and this weekend so far, she hasn't been interested in potty training. I'm worried about her. Should I take her to a walk-in clinic and have a doctor look at her? I hate to accuse these people of child molestation if she hasn't been touched, but I am very concered that maybe her mother's mother's boyfriend could be molesting this precious child.

There is no 100 % sure way of determining this unless you have physical proof like sperm spots, video recordings, etc. You can look for typical symptoms of molested children, but these symptoms can occur also in non-molested children.

Web4Health article about symptoms of child molestations.
