question
My family is moving out of state due to financial straights. Our 20 year old son is staying because he has a good job, a girlfriend and ties to the community. Our 16 year old is going with us with a lot of angst but adjusting and our 18 year old daughter does not want to go with us. That is the problem. We have begged her to come with us. She feels we are doing this (moving)intentionally to ruin her life. She does not have any close friends or ties to the community. Meanwhile, she is not packing to move out or making any plans where she is going to stay. She works and is planning to go to junior college which we will pay for but she is not saving any money for living on her own. Instead she is spending friviously. She is angry and refuses to talk about any of it with us. She does not want to keep anything special she has saved all of her life because it reminds her of us. We are running out of time, moving in a few weeks. I'm afraid she will end up homeless. Please advise how we can handle this. Thank you.
