Abstract:

Rehabilitation Clinic for multimodality treatment of depression in the context of rehabilitation of DRV in Bad Kosen

Rehab for depression

In recent years, a rapid increase of mental health problems in medical rehabilitation is recorded. We observe on one hand a higher sensitivity of patients and their doctors. On the other hand symptoms of depression shift more and more in the direction of atypical fatigue syndromes and a very obvious multiple burden of work, care at work versus caring for relatives or children (so-called. empathy fatigue) and fewer and fewer opportunities to meet individual requirements.

Not infrequently,. job-related problems, a very big role, bring the patient to the treatment of a rehab. Here then is usually the German Pension Fund as payers of rehabilitation responsible. Characteristic of the vocational problems are either workplace conflicts ( "mobbing"), or unemployment or non-reconciliation of work and family. The requirements for ever higher mobility and flexibility on workers on one hand, and inadequate payment on the other hand lead especially for single mothers or occupational groups with relatively small payment to chronic distress and tension situation.

Depression is then not the same as depression!

Episodes of so-called recurrent depressive disorder do not so often get the therapi they need. Instead, cronical symptoms such as

are recorded. In the clinic, the treatment of depression is possible only in the context of a so-called multimodal therapy. Many patients - but also their outpatient doctors or psychotherapists - are frequently disappointed that the single-psychotherapy inpatient psychosomatic is not at the center.

Rather, it is to enable a comprehensive approach of rehabilitation, namely, where the object is self-efficacy and an understanding of the causes, own influencing opportunities and outpatient treatment options forms.
